About Us
The Math Club, or "MC", is the departmental student society for
mathematics students at the University of British Columbia in
Vancouver. It aims to provide a beneficial social outlet for students
who are interested in mathematics and nerdery in general. In addition
to its many social opportunities, the club also provides mathematics
resources, such as a reference library, and exam packages.
Our constitution details more of the Club's objectives
as well as its bylaws.
The Math Club is one of UBC's oldest student clubs. While it is not
known when the club was founded, historical records from 1924 show that
the club was well established by then.
The Club Room is typically open during the day; many students come and
hang out and study there. We also sell snacks for nominal prices, and
have really nice couches that are good for napping on between classes. (And yes, you may use the stapler.)
